DJI Phantom 4 Drone
The DJI Phantom 4 drone is the easiest and safest drone to fly from DJI to date. DJI Phantom 4 drone uses computer vision to reconstruct a 3D model of its environment and intelligently navigate around obstacles.
DJI, the world’s largest drone manufacturer, has introduced a new drone called the Phantom 4. It will cost $1,400 and it will be available exclusively for preorder through DJI’s website and Apple’s online store today.
Here are the major improvements in the DJI Phantom 4 drone. The battery life is 28 minutes, which is the longest flight time for any Phantom drone to date. There’s a Sport Mode, for those who want to get a taste of drone racing, that allows the DJI Phantom 4 drone to top out at 45 MPH. The top speed on the previous Phantom drones was 37 MPH.
But perhaps most impressive, however, is the computer vision the DJI Phantom 4 drone uses to avoid obstacles in its path (anywhere between 2.3 to 49 feet). It uses five cameras - two on the front and two on the bottom, plus the main 4K camera - to capture images that are run through computer vision software to reconstruct a 3D model of its environment and intelligently navigate. DJI says even when flying at full speed, the Phantom 4 will slow down and hover in place, avoiding the obstacles in front of it.
The DJI Phantom 4 drone comes with a high-performance camera to shoot sharp, clean video in up to 4K at 30fps and Full HD 1080p at 120fps for slow motion, through a newly designed lens that dramatically increases sharpness. The DJI Phantom 4 drones has an advanced 3-axis gimbal takes out unwanted vibration and movement in-flight, enabling the camera to capture smooth and fluid footage.
