The iRobot Roomba 880 Vacuum Cleaning Robot features the AeroForce performance cleaning system to remove up to 50 percent more dirt, dust, hair and debris than previous Roombas. The AeroForce System uses a combination of three technologies to deliver its cleaning performance:
Tangle-Free AeroForce Extractors: Dual counter-rotating extractors incorporate a durable rubber tread design that grabs and breaks down dirt and debris from any floor type.
Airflow Accelerator: The accelerator brings the vacuum power right down to the floor surface, creating a sealed channel that concentrates the airflow, drawing in more debris.
High-Efficiency Vacuum: A compact and efficient high-powered motor provides a five times improvement in air power than previous Roomba generations.

The Roomba 880 makes multiple passes over every section of the floor and gets into hard-to-reach areas using iAdapt Responsive Navigation Technology. Roomba’s anti-tangle, escape and cliff detection behaviors allow Roomba to navigate and react to each space so it can clean even if a user is not around.

Roomba 880 is also equipped with Virtual Wall Lighthouses to manage multiple room cleanings. The Virtual Wall Lighthouses use an invisible infrared signal to guide Roomba from room-to-room, serving as a gatekeeper for Roomba until a room is completely vacuumed then directs Roomba to clean the next room.

Roomba is persistent, cleaning a space in multiple passes just as a human would with a traditional vacuum cleaner.  It’s also smart enough to know when to return to its Home Base after completing the task at hand or needs a charge. With the Roomba 800 Series and AeroForce technology, iRobot is disrupting the floor care category yet again.
