New Robotic Stroller, Swing, and Car Seat for Your Baby

4moms announces new products.

High-end baby products maker 4moms has been hinting all year about new products in its pipeline, and this week at the ABC Kids Expo in Las Vegas, CEO Rob Daley finally revealed the big secret — a swing, a car seat and a smaller stroller.

For those unfamiliar with the company, 4moms is the Strip District-based firm that adds robotics to baby gear. It already sells the successful mamaRoo baby seat, the easy-to-open Breeze play yard, and the self-folding Origami stroller.

Here’s more details about the new products:

  • Called rockaRoo, the swing has a pivot at the base and moves like a rocking horse, the company said in a written statement. It’s smaller than a traditional swing and includes an mp3 player hookup and reversible toy balls (similar to the mamaRoo). The product should be on the market in early 2014.
  • The 4moms infant car seat installs itself, helping parents know that the seat is installed correctly with auto-leveling and auto-tensions. It also verifies the base is installed properly and the carrier is correctly installed before driving. LCD screens on the base confirm installation. The product should be available in late 2014.
  • Like Apple, 4moms has opted to take a successful product and go mini. The mini Origami is lighter than its bigger sibling but still has the automatic folding, on-board power generator (in the wheels), LCD screen, daytime running lights and cell-phone charging capabilities, the company said. It also has a smaller price tag at less than $450 compared to $850 for the larger version. This product should be available in late 2014.
