Robotics Trends and IDG World Expo announced the 4th annual RoboBusiness Conference and Exposition, the international business development event for mobile robotics and intelligent systems. The conference and exposition will be held at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston, MA on May 15-16, 2007. The event website is http://www.roboevent.com.

According to Dan Kara, conference chairman and President of Robotics Trends, Inc., “We are extremely pleased to announce the 4th annual RoboBusiness Conference and Exposition. The success and yearly growth of RoboBusiness clearly demonstrates the need for an industry event dedicated to the commercial application of mobile robots and intelligent systems technology. The 2006 RoboBusiness event will expand the focus from product and market development, to also address sales, marketing and partnering strategies. In addition, special emphasis will be placed on how robots and robotic technology are being employed today and what opportunities exist in a variety of different market segments including first responder, defense and security applications, field robotics, robotic homecare and assistive technology, to name just a few. We are also excited to announce the inclusion of a special Spotlight Track entitled ‘Beyond the Factory Floor: New Markets for Industrial Robotics’. This track will focus on the ways in which the industrial robotics industry can expand robotics usage beyond manufacturing and assembly within large enterprise in the automotive, electronics and semiconductor industries”.

RoboBusiness is produced in collaboration with IDG World Expo, a business unit of IDG, the world’s leading technology media, research and event company. David Korse, IDG World Expo President and CEO, notes, “IDG is extremely excited about the success of past RoboBusiness events and the launch of the more expansive 2007 version. The mobile robotics and intelligent systems markets are witnessing explosive growth. We look forward to working with our partners Robotics Trends on producing world class events that serve this exciting new industry.”

To foster information exchange and interaction among the various constituents driving the intelligent systems and mobile robotics market, the RoboBusiness Conference and Exposition will offer five comprehensive educational tracks, each of which focuses on a specific theme driving this new industry. Tracks within the 2007 RoboBusiness Conference and Exposition include:

- Business Development and Investment;
