Seeing Machines (AIM : SEE), the leading developer of advanced computer based imaging software systems, announces today the release of faceLAB™ Version 4.3. This new release of faceLAB™ brings improved head and eye-gaze calculation, yielding greater accuracy and robustness over previous versions of faceLAB. Also debuting is a new smaller form-factor hardware platform, which reduces system complexity and setup time, and increases experimental flexibility.
Nick Langdale-Smith, Director of Sales and Marketing at Seeing Machines said “This new release of faceLAB extends the capabilities of our product to meet the demanding needs of some of our most experienced users. We are confident that the improved head and eye-gaze accuracy and robustness will significantly enhance faceLAB’s ability to meet the real world needs of our installed user base as much as it will open new opportunities for deployment of the product.
“In addition to supporting additional market opportunities, the new smaller hardware platform brings greatly improved manufacturing & inventory efficiencies. This is a very welcome development within the company and underlines the tremendous effort we have put into streamlining our operations as we seek to grow the penetration of faceLAB into the market.”
Version 4.3 of faceLAB™ was demonstrated at the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society’s 50th Annual meeting in San Francisco, 16-20 October 2006 and already it has been enthusiastically received by the user community.
