ST Robotics, with offices in Cambridge, Mass., and Princeton, N.J., is currently in the design phase of its plan to introduce the R13 SCARA bench-top robot arm in the fall of this year.

The semi-direct-drive R13 robot arm, in the horizontally articulated SCARA format, has a 400mm reach and the Z axis on the end rotates. Although no pricing was released, the company says the arm is fast, accurate, and affordable.
