The skills gap is real, folks. Only 16 percent of American high school seniors are proficient in mathematics and interested in a career involving science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).

To add to that, 30 percent of high school seniors who took the ACT test were cleared for college-level sciences.

A recent influx of educational robots has shown that technology is a much better way to keep students engaged than current ed tech methods. And these toys reach kids of all ages and experience levels. But by the time kids reach late middle-school or early high-school, they may be ready for learning real coding languages that are widely used.
