Parasoft Embedded, leading provider of solutions and services that deliver quality as a continuous process throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) for embedded and real time systems, announced today full support of ARM® RealView® Development Suite 3.1 (RVDS), a comprehensive, end-to-end solution for software development that supports all ARM processors and ARM debug technology.

Parasoft Embedded, a division of Parasoft Corporation, brings an innovative and integrated solution for C and C++ development that supports a broad range of best practices proven to deliver software quality as a continuous process. With Parasoft Embedded solution, development teams will reduce the time, effort, and cost of testing embedded and real-time system applications by enabling extensive testing on the host and streamlining validation on the target.

“The Parasoft C++test package provides a powerful set of quality tools that can now be used by ARM embedded developers,” said Andrew Beeson, ARM Product Manager - Compilation Tools. “With its support for ARM’s high-performance compilers and easily customizable configurations, Parasoft C++test fits seamlessly into both the ARM RealView Development Suite 3.1 Eclipse-based environment as well as command-line build environments.”

The new fully-integrated Parasoft Embedded plug-in for ARM RVDS provides teams easy access to Parasoft Embedded’s full code analysis and unit testing capabilities while developing applications targeted for the latest ARM technology-based processors that power the mobile world. The complete target-based test execution flow, including test case generation, cross-compilation, deployment, execution, and loading results back into the GUI, can be automated via the direct interface with RVDS facilities and customized as needed. Tests can be debugged using the native RVDS debugger.
