3D Vision Company TYZX Expands in Asian Markets
Partners to Distribute High Quality, Small Format, Cost-effective Stereo Vision Systems in Japan
Tyzx Inc., the 3D vision company, and Innotech Corporation, an advanced technology solution provider, announced that they have joined forces to distribute and support Tyzx’ stereo vision products in Japan.
Under terms of the agreement, Innotech will distribute the full range of Tyzx hardware and software solutions, including the recently announced DeepSea G2 Stereo Vision System, a small, multi-purpose, embedded stereo camera that can be deployed in mobile platforms such as commercial and defense robots, automobiles, or networked together into person-tracking security systems.
Tyzx, building on more than 15 years of research at Harvard, Interval Research, MIT, and Stanford, has developed a platform of hardware, software and services for building affordable products that see and interact with the world in three dimensions. Tyzx delivers high volume, cost-effective 3D vision solutions to industry leaders in the automotive, consumer electronics, robotics and security markets.
“Tyzx has already established a presence in the Japanese auto market through our relationship with Takata, a global manufacturer of automotive safety systems,” said Ron Buck, CEO of Tyzx. “This relationship with Innotech will drive adoption of our easily manufactured, cost effective, high quality 3D vision systems into other dynamic Japanese markets such as robotics and electronic gaming.”
The low power requirements and small footprint of the new embedded G2 vision system permit powerful real-time 3D vision processing in applications and products where traditional workstations cannot be used. Tyzx 3DAWARE real time 3D stereovision is especially useful for products that operate in dynamic, variably lit environments. It also provides higher quality results, such as color, wider field of view, higher resolution and better range accuracy, than monocular optical-based, lidar or radar systems.
“Tyzx’ DeepSea G2 Stereo Vision System is the kind of advanced solution that Innotech is proud to introduce to key business contacts in Japan,” said Koji Hirata, Division Director of Innotech. “Our partnership with Tyzx is the latest demonstration of our commitment to innovation, and demonstrates the value we can add to Japanese technology companies.”
The DeepSea G2 Stereo Vision System is now generally available. Innotech also provides technical support for Tyzx products for its customers in Japan. For more information, go to http://www.innotech.co.jp/english/index.html .
