AssistWare Technology, the technology leader in vision-based accident avoidance systems for cars and trucks, has immediate openings in several key technical positions. We are seeking several talented individuals with a background in any of the following disciplines: robotics, computer vision, real-time sensors, advanced automation and / or autonomous vehicle control.
Program Manager
We are seeking an experienced program manager to manage one of several concurrent development efforts. This individual will interface directly with our strategic partner companies in the joint design of our next generation products. The ideal candidate will have prior program management experience. Please provide examples of previous programs managed including duration of the program, budget and staff size.
Requirements:PhD in CS, EE, ME, Robotics, Physics or related field; excellent C / C++ programming skills preferably in an embedded systems environment; experience with machine vision or intelligent vehicles including integration, testing and analysis; good communication, writing and reporting
skills. Some overnight travel required.
Embedded Hardware Engineer
We are seeking an experienced hardware engineer to lead the engineering design and support of our line of electronic warning systems. This individual will be the head hardware designer and be responsible for new product engineering, product maintenance, and interfacing with our contract manufacturing suppliers. This position will also be responsible for coordinating testing and ensuring compliance against a variety of in-vehicle standards. The ideal candidate will have first-hand design experience in developing embedded control systems, particular in the areas of machine vision, automation, or vehicle control. Please provide examples of products you have developed. Automotive or heavy truck experience is highly desired but not required.
Requirements:MS or BS in EE or related field; excellent C / C++ programming skills; design experience in DSP-based embedded systems, CMOS imagers or CAN communications; good communication skills. Some overnight travel required.
Vision Systems Engineer
We are seeking an experienced vision systems engineer to develop real-time embedded algorithms for use in on-board vehicle safety systems. This individual will develop, implement and deploy algorithms on our embedded vision systems platform. The ideal candidate will have experience in the areas of pattern recognition and object tracking in a real-time, real-world environment. Please provide specific examples of the types of algorithms you have developed and their application. Intelligent vehicle experience is highly desired.
Requirements:MS or BS in CS, EE, ME, Robotics, Physics or related field; excellent C / C++ programming skills; experience deploying vision algorithms in a DSP-based embedded environment; good communication skills. Some overnight travel required.
Systems Engineers
We are seeking engineers with an interest in robotics, machine vision, and intelligent vehicles to join our team. These individuals will be involved with software development, validation and testing for sophisticated vehicle crash avoidance systems. The ideal candidates will be hands-on individuals who are well rounded technically; have the ability to handle a variety of engineering tasks with
minimal experience; and be capable of supporting testing and collecting data in the field.
Requirements:MS or BS in CS, EE, ME, Robotics, Physics or related field; excellent C / C++ programming skills; ability to collect, analyze and report extensive amounts of data; good communication skills.
