Seegrid is launching its newest product at MODEX 2014 this week at Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Ga. The GWS35 unmanned walkie stacker has the company's patented vision-guided autonomous navigation system to transport palletized loads in a variety of manufacturing and distribution environments.

The flexible walkie stacker automatically picks, drops, stacks and puts away loads up to 72 inches at a maximum load capacity of 3,500 pounds. It needs no added infrastructure redesign or engineers to install, suport or operate it.

"With the flexible GWS35 walkie stacker, we have expanded our traditional transportation line to include a vision-guided product capable or picking or placing pallets on a conveyor, an ergonomic lifting table or in racking," says Jeff Christensen, Director of Product Development for Seegrid. "This innovative product provides a simple and affordable automation solution for all manufacturing and distribution facilities looking to improve the overall safety in a plant while boosting efficiency and productivity."

The vehicle can change routes quickly and easily, operates safely with workers and equipment and provides operational flexibility for the automation of internal material flow, according to Seegrid, and this translates into reduction of labor/operating costs while creating a lean, productive and efficient operation.

Seegrid provides automated guided vehicles (AGVs), also known as robotic industrial trucks, to the material handling industry. The company received the 2013 Manufacturer of the Year award from the Pittsburg Business Times and the Gold Medal Award at the WBT Innovation Marketplace 2013 competition.

Fast Company magazine named Seegrid one of the 2013 Top 50 World's Most Innovative Companies and among the Top 10 World's Most Innovative Robotics Companies.
