Ekso Bionics GT Exoskeleton
The 2014 International CES earned the name "The place where a paraplegic walked," after Ekso Bionics' demonstration of its wearable robotic exoskeleton
. Intended for medically supervised use by individuals with any amount of lower extremity weakness, the suit allows the user to stand and walk. The user's weight shifts activate sensors in the device which initiate the battery-powered motors to drive the legs. The Ekso bionic suit starts at about $110,000.
