Tesla Autopilot Saves the Day

OK. Tesla Autopilot is designed to assist rather than replace human drivers, but it still gives us a nice glimpse of the ways in which intelligent self-driving cars of the future will improve road safety.

In this incident, which took place Oct. 2015 in Seattle, an Uber driver that was distracted by traffic on his right was grateful to discover that his Tesla was paying attention to oncoming traffic and was able to brake to avoid a head-on collision.
