Although I still can’t help thinking that "BB" stands for "ball bearing," this expressive and quick little Droid was great in the latest Star Wars movie. If you’d like to interact with a small model of one, Sphero makes a BB-8 droid that works in a similar manner to their original self-rolling ball robot.

The droid is controlled by a smartphone, and per the video, appears to be able to react like it would in the movie when it runs into something and can be set to “patrol” on its own. If you’d like to go further, this type of robot can be programmed with Sphero’s Lightning Lab app.
