Has any unreleased robot been as hyped as Jibo? The company, led by social robotics pioneer Dr. Cynthia Breazeal, is scheduled to be shipped to early adopters in March/April of 2016. It has a valuation of a whopping $128.45 million, according to Pitchbook.

Jibo, of course, acts as a personal assistant, with the ability to take pictures, tell stories, remind you of important daily tasks and put a smile on your face. But the real anticipation is to see where Jibo can go in the future as developers get their hands on him.
