HRP2+ | Team AIST-NEDO

The team members are with National Institute of Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), Japan. The team has been working on development of humanoid robots HRP-2, HRP-3, HRP-4C and HRP-4 with cooperation of several private companies and software platform for humanoid robotics.

The team has realized various motions of humanoid robots such as biped locomotion on a rough terrain, lying down and getting up, safety falling, passing through narrow passage, manipulating objects while supporting itself by a hand, Japanese traditional dancing and so on.

The original HRP-2 was developed in the Japanese national project, "Humanoid Robotics Project (HRP)" from 1998 to 2002. HRP-2+ is its improved version for disaster response tasks. Its development is partially supported by the NEDO project "R&D project on disaster response robots."
