MobileRobots Inc to Host Pre-Conference Technical Workshop, “Developing and Deploying Mobile Service Robot Applications”

Robotics Trends, a division of EH Publishing, Inc., today announced that MobileRobots Inc has joined RoboDevelopment Conference and Exposition 2008, the International Technical Design and Development Event for the Personal, Service and Mobile Robotics Industry, as Gold Sponsor. The 2nd Annual RoboDevelopment Conference & Exposition will be held November 18-19, 2008 at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, California.

Dan Kara, conference co-chairman and President of Robotics Trends, said, “We are very excited to have MobileRobots Inc join the RoboDevelopment Conference and Exposition as a Gold Sponsor. MobileRobots Inc is a global leader in the design and manufacture of intelligent mobile robot platforms, as well as sensing, navigation and control products. MobileRobots Inc solutions, renowned for their capabilities and robustness, have found wide use in both advanced research robots and commercial systems.”

“Unlike academic or hobbyist robotics events, the RoboDevelopment Conference and Exposition focuses on the design and development of commercial mobile robots and intelligent systems products,” noted Jeanne Dietsch, CEO and Co-Founder of MobileRobots Inc. “As such, RoboDevelopment is the perfect forum for Mobile Robots to educate technical professionals about platform and navigation solutions that simplify and speed the development of commercial-class robot systems.”

One of the highlights of this partnership is a special Keynote Address by Jeanne Dietsch entitled “Opportunities at the Uptick.” This insightful session will present the various strategies that technical professionals, key participants in the birth of the autonomous service robot industry, can employ to optimize robotics opportunities and avoid potential pitfalls.

MobileRobots Inc will also host a Pre-Conference Technical Workshop entitled “Developing and Deploying Mobile Service Robot Applications” on the afternoon preceding RoboDevelopment Conference & Exposition. Designed for developers, resellers and purchasers of mobile service robots, the Workshop will provide attendees with practical, actionable instruction and hand-on training based on years of real-world experience. Attendees will come away with the information required to make seasoned decisions regarding the development and deployment of autonomous service robot applications. The MobileRobots Inc Workshop will take place on Monday, November 17 at the Santa Clara Convention Center. Registration is available to all RoboDevelopment Conference & Exposition attendees. Additional information on the Pre-Conference Technical Workshop is available here.
