The Quest for the Automated Hospital
“You really need to develop a whole product solution—hardware, software, UI, interfaces, and process redesign—with a consideration for what problem you are really trying to solve.” —Aldo Zini
A New Take on Autonomy
Getting large teams of robots to collaborate is the work of Dr Regis Vincent, who envisions applications that include mapping nuclear contamination.
Human and Robot ‘Colleagues’ in Manufacturing
What obstacles remain for robots to work alongside humans in industrial settings, and how far have we come in eliminating those challenges? Dr. Roland Menassa answers these and other questions in his presentation at the RoboBusiness summit November 2-3 in Boston.
Robotics and Automation as an Enabler to Agricultural Systems Productivity

The event also addresses sales, marketing and partnering strategies. The RoboBusiness Conference and Exposition enables business decision makers to easily grasp the potential opportunities arising from emerging robotics technologies. The conference brings emerging robotics technology out of the lab and into the open market, focusing on the business side of the mobile robotics business.

Selection Criteria: Conference attendees are a demanding audience. Robotics Trends will only accept the most compelling submissions that meet our criteria. YOU WILL BE NOTIFIED IF YOUR PRESENTATION IS ACCEPTED. The selection criteria are:

Alignment with Conference Themes

Applicability - The successful candidate presentation will speak to the latest tools, techniques and concepts, by presenting the practical application of the material, including real-world examples and ROI studies where possible.

Innovation/Originality - A presentation that advances existing concepts or introduces new ideas is better than a presentation that merely repeats information already widely known. The timeliness of ideas is important. A presentation should focus on the general attributions, benefits and drawbacks of a given robot, robotic device or enabling technology, as well as the productization potential. Issues related to the social ramifications of robotic technology, as well as the impact of such technology on our day-to-day lives, should also be addressed.

Proposal Submission: For each 50-minute session you wish to propose a speaker, e-mail the following to Dan Kara at dk[at]roboticstrends[dot]com.

- A title and abstract of the topic to be presented (approximately 100 words),

- Title and brief biography of presenter (approximately 50 words),

- Presenter’s contact information (name, address, phone, fax, email), and
Indicate in which conference track your topic should be included.

Upon Acceptance: Speakers receive two complimentary full registrations for the conference, as well as admission to all event activities, including all breakfasts, lunches and receptions. Accepted speakers will be required to sign and submit a speaker agreement and provide an electronic copy of their presentation by a specific date.
