Evolution leverages its NorthStar navigation technology to deliver a competitively priced, capable floor cleaner that automatically dusts and wet mops hard surface floors using popular cleaning cloths.

Evolution Robotics, Inc., a robotics technology company, announced that it has begun accepting pre-order reservations for the Mint Automatic Floor Cleaner. Introduced in January, Mint is a robotic floor cleaning appliance designed exclusively for hard surface floor cleaning and automates floor cleaning the way the dishwasher and washing machine have transformed the way you do other common chores in the home. Mint automatically dusts and wet mops hard surface floors using popular cleaning cloths, such as Swiffer brand Dry and Wet Cloths and other similar products.

“Whether delivered in person or through email, Mint continues to receive an overwhelmingly positive response from the thousands of people who have already discovered the evolution of floor care,” said Dr. Paolo Pirjanian, CEO of Evolution Robotics. “We’re excited to begin taking reservations for the first Mint units and we look forward to the coming months when we start deploying an army of Mints to take over the chore of floor cleaning, allowing our customers to instead spend their time doing the things they enjoy.”

Consumers interested in reserving their own Mint can do so at: http://www.mintcleaner.com by filling out a short form and submitting a deposit of $20.00. Completed submissions will be confirmed with a reservation number and customers will be notified shortly before their Mint ships to complete their purchase.

Mint adapts to different home environments using a range of sensors and employs advanced navigation technologies to deliver a systematic and thorough floor cleaning. Additionally, Mint has been honored with a Popular Mechanics’ Editor’s Choice award for best new product at the 2010 Consumer Electronics Show (CES).

Pricing and Availability
Mint is scheduled to be available through direct channels in Q3 2010 and retail outlets in Q4 2010 at a price of under $250. To sign up to be notified of Mint’s availability, and to reserve your Mint, please visit: http://www.mintcleaner.com
