Robotics Trends today announced the resounding success of the first-ever Robotics Summit online conference, exposition, and networking event held June 16, 2010. Focused on “Autonomy, Navigation, and Mobility Solutions,” the summit registered more than 1,200 robotics professionals, with many more signing up and exploring the event throughout the day. The Robotics Summit was truly a global robotics networking opportunity, with representatives from 45 countries in attendance.
“What a great venue!” states Erik Nieves, technology director, Motoman, Inc. “We were able to reach a wide audience, interact with clients and colleagues, and share meaningful information—all without the hassle and expense of travel. Motoman will do it again!”
“For robotics technology and services providers, online events are a terrific way to generate new business,” says Dan Kara, president of Robotics Trends, a division of EH Publishing. “For their part, Robotics Summit attendees recognized the value of exploring many diverse robotics solutions in one venue from the comfort of their offices or homes.” Sponsors and exhibitors of the event expressed early congratulations to Robotics Trends, citing solid booth traffic and quality lead generation throughout the event.
The inaugural Robotics Summit event, produced by Robotics Trends and featuring keynotes and general sessions by leaders in the robotics industry, was delivered over the Web directly to registered attendees. Event attendees could also visit a “virtual exhibition hall” showcasing 23 robotics and intelligent systems companies, where they were able to download information and network directly with company representatives.
Throughout the day, robotics professionals spent an average of three hours at the summit, watching presentations in the auditorium, exploring the exhibit hall, and networking via online chat sessions. Attendees also downloaded thousands of the exhibitors’ documents and presentations during the course of the event.
Access to the Robotics Summit keynotes and sessions will available for 90 days following the event at http://www.robovirtualevents.com. Previously registered attendees can access the archives using their log-in and password. New attendees can also gain full access to the archives by taking advantage of free registration at http://www.robovirtualevents.com.
