09.08.2009 — Developer of underwater ultraheavy-duty remotely operated vehicles contracted for fiftieth system.

Schilling Robotics, LLC, experts in subsea systems, announced the order for its 50th UltraHeavy-Duty (UHD™) Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) by C-Innovation. The vehicle is due to be delivered by the end of 2009.

Since delivering the first UHD ROV system, this milestone in Schilling’s achievements marks an aggressive period of growth during the last four years.  The UHD™ incorporates the industry’s leading ROV automation technologies, which help improve the efficiency of ROV operations.  Additionally, Schilling’s approach to the ROV controls architecture enables full system redundancy, clear visual system diagnostics, and modular expandability.

Schilling UHD’s are owned and operated by several global ROV operating companies, including Acergy UK, Ltd., Bourbon Subsea Services, C-Innovation, Global Industries, Phoenix International, DOF Subsea, and Allseas. “Schilling’s core philosophy is to make our customers successful, and our UHD™ system has helped achieve this by improving the stability, accuracy, and ease of ROV intervention operations,” states Tyler Schilling, Chief Executive Officer for Schilling Robotics.
