Georgia OKs Self-Driving Cars on Public Roads
May 9, 2017 · Georgia becomes the latest state to legalize testing of self-driving cars on public roads. The bill won't require humans in self-driving cars to have a valid driver's license. However, the self-driving cars must be registered as automated vehicles with the Department of Motor Vehicles, must maintain a valid insurance policy, and follow speed limits designated by local order.

FAA Faces Second Drone Audit
April 19, 2017 · The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is being audited for the second time by the Office of Inspector General of the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT IG) for its "approval and oversight processes" for drones. The audit, which will begin in April 2017, will assess both the processes for granting waivers and its "risk-based oversight" for entities that do have waivers under the Part 107 rulemaking for commercial drone operations.

April 12, 2017 · An AI poker system called Lengpudashi won $290,000 after beating five Chinese pokers players during a five-day competition. The "landslide" victory was the second time in 2017 an AI program beat competitive poker players.
