Schools now have the choice of FANUC’s LR Mate 200iC or M-1iA robots for use with the company’s CERT’s industrial robotics training lab. FANUC Robotics America, Inc. has added its M-1iA robot to the Certified Education Robot Training (CERT) program line-up. Launched in 2008, the CERT program certifies instructors at educational institutions to train their students to program FANUC robots through on-line and hands-on training courses. The CERT program’s educational mobile lab includes an industrial robot, integrated vision system, programmable logic controller, and ROBOGUIDE simulation software. 01/16/10 10:22 PM
A larger version of FANUC’s M-1iA robot introduced last year, the M-3iA, which comes in a four- or six-axis model, can automate the assembly of a variety of applications that cannot be done with traditional SCARA-type robots. FANUC Robotics America Inc. has introduced the new M-3iA intelligent, parallel-link robot designed to maximize speed and flexibility for assembly, small part handling and picking applications. The M-3iA robot is a larger version of the company’s M-1iA robot introduced last year. Available in a four- or six-axis model, the M-3iA offers the same unique parallel-link structure, is lightweight and portable, and accommodates payloads up to 6kg. In addition, it has the largest work envelope of any robot in its class (1350mm x 500mm). The M-3iA six-axis model has a…
